May is National Older Americans Month - Age Knows No Limits Project
Thursday May 19, 2011, 4-5:30 p.m. at the Willamalane Adult Activity Center, join us to help celebrate Honoring Older Americans. "Breaking Barriers" Invitation.
The Age Knows No Limits Project is a volunteer alliance of Lane County Programs which serves people ages 60 and over, including Senior & Disabled Services, Senior Connections and the Senior Meals Program. During May, We will recognize a number of people, 60 years and older, whose active engagement is breaking barriers for themselves or their community. We will be honoring active, creative, and vital older Americans who have been inspiring role models and who capture the true essence of this year’s theme, "Breaking Barriers."

The Age Knows No Limits Project
The Age Knows No Limits Project will recognize several active, inspirational people over age 60 in Lane County who should be honored during Older Americans Month (May 2011). The people selected are actively engaged in Breaking Barriers for themselves or their community. Nominations were due December 15, 2010. See the flier and nomination form for more information!
Veneta Harvest Festival Fundraiser
On September 25 in Downtown Veneta from 10 am-5 pm Veneta will hold a Harvest Festival with live music, arts, food and wine, a kids zone, and several contests and events including a pie baking contest. Proceeds from the festival will support construction of the new Fern Ridge Service Center which will house Senior Connections and Senior Meals. See the flyer for more information.
Senior Meals/Senior Connections Fundraiser
Tickets are now on sale for Benefits by the Glass, scheduled for 11 am to 4 pm on Saturday, June 26 at Shadow Mountain Vineyard. Enjoy music by Stillwater and Apropos Musique with a guest appearance by Paul Biondi, a Silent Wine Auction and drawings throughout the afternoon. Tickets are for adults age 21 and over are $20 per person and include a complimentary glass of wine. Proceeds from this event will support the Fern Ridge Service Center Building Fund, the future home in Veneta for the Senior Meals & Meals on Wheels Program as well as Senior Connections. Senior Legal Services Request for Proposal
Senior & Disabled Services, a division of Lane Council of Governments (LCOG) is seeking Letters of Intent for the delivery of Legal Assistance to senior citizens residing in Lane County, Oregon. Senior Connections Fundraiser Raffle
Senior Connections is holding a raffle drawing with $1500 in prizes on October 28, 2008 at 7 pm at their first public event, Winestyles “Benefit Tuesday”. You need not be present to win. The Vitality Run/Walk is a special 5k event that benefits Meals on Wheels clients of both Senior & Disabled Services and the American Red Cross, who cooperate to deliver meals in Lane County. For information, see the informational flier. PDF*
May is Older Americans Month - Honoring Older Americans Active in the Arts
The Lane Coalition of Senior Programs is holding its
