Special Needs Transportation

There are a number of transportation options available for special needs clients, including:

American Cancer Society: Transportation for ambulatory cancer patients to and from chemotherapy and radiation treatments. For more information on services, call (541) 484-2211.

Department of Veterans Affairs: Van transportation to Portland and Roseburg VA hospitals for scheduled appointments. No fee. (541) 607-0897

Bus Buddy Program: The LTD Bus Buddy Program is a safe personal introduction to the LTD transit system through the assistance of trained and qualified Bus Buddy volunteers. More information about the Bus Buddy Program can be found on the LTD website.

LTD Guest Services Call LTD’s experts for specific information on special needs services offered at LTD, including accessibility, specialized services, Braille, audio tapes and large-format printed materials. (541) 687-5555.

LTD Transit Host Program

RideSource Escort: Provides door-to-door transportation to medical appointments for frail, elderly persons living at home. Eligibility is determined by the S&DS Senior Connections Area Coordinator.
