Services’ Senior Connections matches
older adults with the resources and services they need in order to continue
to live independently in their own homes or apartments. The program
has offices in the following communities: Cottage Grove, Eugene, Florence,
Junction City, Oakridge, and Veneta. The program’s Area Coordinators
and volunteers provide a variety of services to senior citizens (60+)
and unpaid family caregivers. Customers receive services tailored to
their needs, including information on resources, referrals to programs
which can help, screening and certification for selected benefits (e.g.,
low income energy assistance, Meals on Wheels, medical transportation,
free and low-cost prescription drugs, caregiver training, and respite
care for unpaid family caregivers), access to and management of volunteers
who provide a range of supportive services, and case management for
those who need this level of assistance but do not qualify for Medicaid-funded
case management services.
