Are public transportation services available in the Eugene-Springfield area?
Lane Transit District provides public transportation to the Eugene/Springfield area. For more information on the variety of programs and services LTD offers, see the Public Transportation page on this site.

Are public transportation services available in the outlying areas of Lane County?
LTD and other agencies provide specialized services for people who are unable to access or use the bus system due to a disability in Lane County. For more information on programs and services in Lane County, see the Public Transportation page on this site.

How can I get help paying for transportation?
To find out more about special programs, sliding scale fees or discounts we recommend that you call the transportation provider directly to see what they offer.

If you are a Medicaid client you may be eligible for help with transportation to Medicaid covered medical appointments. Ask your S&DS worker if you are eligible for medical transportation. If you do not know who your S&DS worker is, call: (541) 682-4038 or 1-800-441-4038.

What transportation help is available for Medicaid clients?
Medicaid clients are eligible for transportation assistance to non emergent medical appointments that are covered by their Medicaid Card. Medical transportation provides the client with the most cost effective transportation available. Medical mileage reimbursement, bus tokens, bus pass, taxi rides, special needs rides, non emergent ambulance rides, and rides with the Department of Human Services Volunteer programs are all options. A few clients who receive waivered services may be eligible for non-medical transportation. For complete Medicaid transportation assistance information, including how to schedule a ride and a listing of OMAP providers, see the Medicaid Transportation Assistance page.

Is there transportation available for special needs clients?
For a listing of transportation options available for special needs clients, see the Special Needs Transportation page.
